Hello! I am the owner and lead makeup artist of Denyelle D. Beauty! I have worked in bridal and special events makeup for eight years. I am a lover of LOVE, and I absolutely adore bridal makeup! To be a part of your special day means the world to me, and I'm always elated to hear the "where did you meet" stories! No two brides are the same, so I strive to personalize your makeup experience with me. I'm always looking for ways to add the latest trends without going overboard! You can rest assured I'll create a classic look just for you!
For the past 8 years I've been the Stage Makeup Teacher at Flowers High School. There, I am the Head of the Makeup Department for the Jaguar Players Drama Club. Many of our plays have been featured on our local newstation (Fox 5), newspapers (Bowie Blade, Washington Post),and radio stations (WPGC 95.5,MAJIC102.3 AND WKYS 93.9)! I love my students, and am in awe every year when they perform to sold-out crowds. We've done "Dreamgirls", "Bubbling Brown Sugar", "Soul Train to Motown", "The Wiz", "Ain't Misbehaving", and our most current play is entitled "Love, Peace and SOUL"!
I am the Key Makeup Artists for DFinney Photography and Design (Washington, DC and Atlanta, GA) and I'm also provide makeup for Jackie Armstrong Photography (DC/NYC).
In addition, I am a published beauty writer, having written for Munaluchi Bride magazine, Pretty Girls Sew, Senior Study Hall and The DC Ladies.
I've worked on the Award Winning Film "Last Night" directed by Emmy Nominee Harold Jackson, III. I've also worked on other projects directed by Harold Jackson like "Counselor" (2016), and "The Meek' (2017),Music Video "So Wassup" by R&B Artist Maya Milan, and was part of the glam department for the Marriott "Love Travels" campaign.
My work has been featured in Essence Magazine, Munaluchi Bridal Magazine, Black Bride Magazine, Washingtonian Bride, The DC Ladies Magazine, curlBox, Paul Brunson and OWN Network "The Good People Project", and I am also a featured DC R.A.W. Artist.
